IAHV Gives to Seafarers

As a result of Al Fara'a selecting The Angel Appeal for their charity for the Dubai Chamber's Engage Give and Gain Day, volunteers of International Association for Human Values (IAHV) got together and feed 400 seafarers on a Saturday morning recently. In addition to the hot plate of food, they received some razors, soap, deodarant and socks. The seafarers were so grateful that people were thinking of them and their needs and donated all of these items. Thanks to IAHV and Al Faraa!

Engage Give and Gain Day

On May 16, companies across Dubai swapped their normal work day to make a difference to the communities they live and work. Al Fara'a selected The Angel Appeal as their charity of choice. They wrapped over 200 t-shirts with toothbushes, toothpaste, soap, razors, band-aids, deodorant and socks. These gifts were then distributed to needy seafarers at the Dubai Creek wharf (Port Saeed). A BIG THANKS to Al Fara'a for selecting The Angel Appeal and helping the seafarers.

Nautical Institute Marine Ball

The Nautical Institute (UAE Branch) held their annual Marine Ball in March. Crystal Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency was the place to mix and mingle with everyone involved in the shipping industry in Dubai. Check out the beautiful theming of the ball in the pictures!

HSBC Gives 1,000 Gifts to Iranian Seafarers

"HSBC Bank Middle East Limited has very generously donated 1,000 toothbrushes, 2,000 toothpastes, 2,000 bars of soap, 1,000 tubes oftoothpaste, 1,000 Granola bars, 1,000 cans of deodorant and 1,000 razors to seafarers anchored off the coast of the UAE. They also have donated their time to wrap the 1,000 gifts for the seafarers. They distributed the packs to the needy seafarers along the Dubai Creek one afternoon. A BIG THANK YOU to HSBC for donating and personally giving the gifts to the seafarers!"
